We did this on our own. Took the ship shuttle to town then a city bus to the Koala Sanctuary. A fun place to see many animals but focus on Koala, emu and kangaroo. Then we went to Cootah Lookout and Botanic gardens which were lovely. To South Bank for lunch which is a fun recreational area beside the river. We took the free ferry back to the CBD, browsed and then shuttle back to ship. A full, fun ...

If you were not on a tour, you had to pay $A25 to get to the city from the port. Shame on RCCL! Brisbane was a beautiful city with lots of different views. A tour is definitely needed to experience the city. ...
