Tendering is always a pain - even when the weather is great. No exception here. NCL excursions were all very pricey, and we did not have $100 per person or more to spend. Got to the gate and decided not to leave the port village. Spent less than an hour before heading back on board. I wish Harvest Caye was part of this itinerary, as it was supposed to be when we booked the trip! ...
Not much here without going away from port. Had a few beers and hooked up with free Wi-FI. If you leave gated area expect to be bombarded by locals. They will try and sell you anything and everything including family members : ) ...
Belize was where I really was looking forward to going but absolutely disappointing. We went into the city and were immediately harassed by the locals trying to sell there little souvenirs that they claim the grandmother make by hand etc..... All lies because all the shops had the same stuff. We had one guy dressed in native attire who pretty much walked all the way with us into town and back ...
Driving through Belize and taking pictures and seeing some of their historical parts was interesting. We enjoyed getting to know our taxi driver who was a quiet man with a honorable history.
