Bari is quite picturesque but there were pushy beggars around. We took a little train excursion for 10 euros. The train was not very comfortable. The tour included a lot of walking and waiting around which wasn't comfortable in the extreme heat + 35 c! ...
So disappointed. There is no point touring the caves unless you do the longer tour. Very friendly shop owners around entrance to caves. Only given 1/2 hour to look around Polignano A Mare and most of that was spent walking in and out from the bus. ...
