we did Nagasaki on our own, very easy. Pouring rain so a bit uncomfortable.
Caught the number 5 tram, then you get off at Tsuki-Machi (2 stops). This is the transfer point. Then caught the number 1 tram to Ohashi for the Peace Garden and the Bomb Museum. You can also get off at the station before Matsuyama-Machi. Nagasaki is very easy to get around with the tram. Tram drivers are also very helpful.
Took the ships tour to Stanley Market, Aberdeen and Victoria Peak. We enjoyed going up the mountain by bus and down the mountain with the tram. At Victoria Peak it was very hard to see Hong Kong as a heavy fog rolled in. We did a sampan ride on the river which was great. Great tour guide, showed us around the city and then we had a bit of shopping time at Stanley Markets. At 8pm we cruised into the Harbour to watch the Lazer Light show. The cloud and fog that surrounded the city made the lazer show a bit dull to see.
Long drive to Ho Chi Min- take plenty of cold water with you. Not much time in city but we went to the War Remnants Museum. Would have like to go and see the Re unification Hall but ran out of time. At the drop off point ,The Tax Trade Centre,or maybe next door, there is a coffee shop upstairs on the 2nd floor. You can get refreshing drinks before you star you day. Great place to eat lunch is Pho 24 - noodle soup. Tasty soups at great prices.
Bought the Mrt day pass and we travelled all day on the MRT. We went to the Jurong Bird Park where we spent hour walking around or taking the monorail which was air conditioned to our relief. We spent the day at the Marina Bay Sands complex. Lovely area to walk around and have dinner at the food court. Stayed at the Swissotel the Stamford. Fantastic Hotel- ask for harbour view well worth it.
