We went shopping and to the beach, great stuff.

There was little hassle from tour guides or taxi operators at this port.

Be prepared to get hassled on leaving the port with taxi and tour guides, just check the ships information prior to leaving, know what you want and where to go.

Shopping is a must for the goods on offer. we did 2 beaches, Brighton beach and the boatyard, both were great but in different ways.

We went to Marigot bay by water taxi with 2 other couples, it was a mixed day with weather but the beach and views were fantastic.

We did the usual shopping and had a water taxi ride to a lovely beach, Villa beach. the weather was too hot, the sand burnt your feet and we had an impromptu tour by water taxi on our way back to the port. Altogether a really memorable day.

We decided not to go off anywhere and just do a bit of shopping and have a day on board.

It is fare to say that we were surprised by what we thought of the standard of living. Everywhere you looked in our opinion it looked of poverty.

Certainly compared to other islands and ports this was a a lot different.

We went off to a lovely beach, had a relaxing day and the same taxi driver cam back for us, perfect.
