We sent 3 days before our cruise in Fort lauderdale and used the water taxis to get about. It was very enjoyable seeing the celebrities homes and boats. The beaches are endless and very clean.Worth the extra cost and we will consider this area for just 'land based' in the future'.
Very crowded. Go early before the crowds get there. It is supposed to be one of the worlds top 10 beaches. It was very nice, but we didnt think it any better than others we had been to - maybe because of the crowds?
This was better than expected as people had said there wasn't much there. We walk ed round the town and found it interesting. Nice village green with unusual plants/trees etc and also found a lovely courtyard bar. The people were very friendly too and we felt safe.
We love Barbados and the beaches are excellent. Sun loungers and shades easily available,beautiful sea to swim in and good water sports if you like them. We walked to the beach from the cruise ship it took about 20-25 mins and was an enjoyable walk. The taxi back was $10
Beautiful island to sail into - 2nd visit and it always reminds me of 'King Kong' island very green and mountainous. Don't worry though if you go on an island tour he isn't there or we didn't see him!
