Got off in Falmouth but stayed in the port. Did not book any excursions and knew if we went past the gate, the natives would be "at us". Port is new and filled with jewelry stores and local vendors. Since gold is so expensive, I did find a store that featured silver. Got a silver and blue opal necklace and earring set. Lots of signs warning you about purchasing anything illegal in Jamaica!
We had a late flight so we signed up for this 3 hr bus tour. Was a highlight of the trip to New Orleans. Saw many things that we couldn't on our 2 days before the cruise. Tour guide was very funny and informative. Explained the many things that happened during Katrina. Bus dropped us off at the airport.
