NSAHO79's Port Reviews of Cozumel, Roatan, Puerto Limon, Colon (Cristobal), Cartagena (Colombia), Grand Cayman Celebrity Equinox cruise in February 2012
We booked a private excursion to an All Inclusive resort for the day and had a wonderful time. We have been to Cozumel twice before and taken ship excursions so we were not interested in doing that again. The shopping at the port is very good.

The ship docks at a container pier and over 40 tour buses show up and park on the pier. This is a very hot country and I would not recommend being outside without a lot of water and shade. There was a small shopping area set up a short distance from the end of the pier. Their big product was emeralds and there wasn't much else to buy (some coffee, t-shirts, etc) but there were not enough staff and they were very slow. I left my purchases because of the slowness of the clerk.
There is a small park area with parrots, monkeys and other birds.
Very nice shopping area but unfortunately Grand Cayman has no docks or piers so ALL the ships have to tender which is very annoying. We booked a private excursion to a resort called Royal Palms for the day and that was very nice. The sand is soft and fine and the swimming was great. My husband went snorkelling and saw quite a few of the native fish.
