We intended to fly to New Orleans, stay overnight, get on our cruise, return, and stay another three nights. Each event went like "clockwork" and the experience was terrific. The Iberville Suites and the St. James Hotel were fab, the former being our hotel of choice.
Clean, crisp. We felt that this port was what some of the Mexican Riviera ports must have been like before the multitude of visitors and the influx of money created a mecca of commercialism and the accompanying locals requesting handouts. Roatan has not reached that point yet. Enjoy it while you can.
