We rode our bicycles around the island, overlooking the water most of the time. The roads were in good shape and there was hardly any traffic as it was a Sunday morning. We met a lovely family on the side of the road as they were selling coconut water and freshly made banana cake. They were a gift from heaven after all those hills!
There seemed to be alot of garbage around the port area and where we bicycled. We loved Antigua last time we were there but we didn't venture too far away from the port and I wonder if this is why our experience was different.
We bicycled again in this port and although the roads were busy around the port area, what we saw of the island was beautiful. The terrain reminded us of Corsica, very lush and peaceful although quite hilly. We would love to return to explore the rest of the island. The people were lovely.
