The port in Dubai is not far from the city and therefore the best port of the cruise. However the staff are far from helpful, we asked what time the shuttle buses ran and were given different times from the staff (one said until 5pm the next staff member said until 9pm), no one knew where to get the shuttle and as you are not allowed to walk through the port, we ended up getting one to the terminal then waiting another 30 minutes for another to take us across the port). Also no advice or even an English speaker to confirm where or when to get one back.
