Galveston Island is a unique community. There is a lot of history here with great architecture, museums and a great beach. And just up the road is the Johnson Space Center, a great way to spend some time on your way back to Houston if your flight out is late afternoon or evening. I expect to sail out of Galveston again just as long as it is anyone other than Carnival.
