Spanish Town is small quiet and laid back but a good jumping off point for island junkets. The Baths are a $5 taxi ride and worth the long walk down to the giant rocks at the shore.
Taxi drivers at the docks will hound you endlessly and spoil any kind thoughts you may have had about this island. They will ask $20 person and quickly retreat to sub $10 per person.
Wow! Gorgeous elegant beautiful island of your dreams! But expensive! 20�,� per hour for beach chair rentals can be negotiated to 1/2 or less. Shops are more expensive than European counterparts but there are bargains to be found. We would go back here for a Week or two.
For laid back and easy going. The town of Road Town is so so but you can get free wifi and bar outside the cruise dock. Cane beach is a great beach with cheap beer and cheap beach chairs. Took the Sage mountain walking tour. It misses the mark with little more than a stunted view from the top of the mountain.
La Romana in the Dominican Republic is the port I want to report on but there was no menu selection in the pick list. So, the Taino caves are worth a visit the cathedral spaces in this cave are awe inspiring. I was less impressed with San Pedro. I felt 'unsafe' with all the young men hanging on street corners and scoping us out. We would not go back
