Disappointing. Arrived New Year's day and everywhere shut. Streets were covered in broken glass and litter from night before and hadn't been cleaned up by 11.30am Buildings covered in graffitti.
Shuttle bus from ship expensive fo rdistance travelled.
Hours walk from ship on uphill but well made up path until nearly reached town when path stopped making it difficult for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Dotto train from outside castle. Small market near the stop which was good. Beach right over far side of the town but no facilities such as sunbeds or toilets.
Lovely port. Very close to good shopping centre and short walk to lovely beach with good facilities - sunbeds, toilets, bars and vending machine for hot and cold drinks - cheaper than beach vendors who walk up and down frequently. Very clean.
