Wellington was overcasts and light rain so we headed to the museum (Ta Pa)and spent and hour or two enjoying the art and history of the Maori culture. After that we walked the streets for a little shopping as the sun tried to come out.
We had a wonderful lunch in a Parisian cafe and then headed back to the ship.
This was New Zealand at it's best even the drizzle could not stop the beauty here.
We had a private day planned with Elm Wildlife and they took us to the Albatross breeding building and we viewed the birds and learned about them. Then we headed to a special area this company is helping redevelop and were able to view blue penguins, yellow eyed penguins, baby penguins, sea lions and pups and get up close and personal with them. What a thrill. LOTS AND LOTS OF SHEEP.
In Melbourne we walked around and saw a beautiful city, very clean lots of shopping great Dim Sum lunch in China town. We also visited their oldest synagogue and had a wonderful tour. The shuttle bus that was arranged by the city/cruise line was a great help and their train back to the port was easy and clean.
