Easy to reach from the ship, easy to walk. Not a lot of character lots of tacky shops, not very clean. Check the prices at the bars before you sit down, if you think the ship is expensive this place beats it by a mile. Would I want to go again, no.
Easy to get to from the ship we stopped for 2 days, good base for tours to the holy land though some are 4 hours drive each way. We went to a big new shopping centre "Grand Canyon" well worth a visit if you want to spend some money and buy gifts. Be aware of the Taxi drivers there, we were quoted a price and presumed he was quoting shekels but when we got to our destination he tried to say it was euro, 5 times the amount. I told him he was in Israel and would get the currency of the country he was in (must admit I used some Anglo Saxon words) and he only got what I was going to give him. I can look after myself but other may have found his attitude menacing and paid up.So make sure the price quoted is the currency you think it is.
If you are going to go on a tour of Athens it would be good enough, though we sailed at 2pm so not time to do it on our own. the port is about 8k from Athens and not worth getting off the ship for.
We had time at the end of the cruise before our flight to look round Venice. You can get a public transport boat next to the ship to take you to St Marks Square. If you want to eat just go a few streets back from the main square for good inexpensive food.
