As we were going straight from the QM2 to our friends apartment in New York we did not sample any port excursions in New York. The Brooklyn Cruise terminal was modern and welcoming.
It was worth getting up at 5am to see the entry into New York, particularly going under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, where there is just 10 feet between the top of the funnel and the underside of the Bridge. It was a pity that it was still dark as we docked, however the lights of New York were spectacular! Watching the ship turn through 360 degrees as we docked was amazing!
