We went on the island dreamer snorkeling adventure. This was so much fun! If you want to see some beautiful fish over a large reef and warm blue water, then have unlimited rum punch, this is for you! This catamaran was beautiful and the crew was great.
This was a fun experience, but the whole part of getting there was kind of a pain since you meet on the ship to get a sticker to get on the ferry that will take you somewhere else for your excursions. That was kind of a mess even though it sounds simple, it wasn't. The snorkeling was fun because we did see 5 or 6 sea turtles and some fish, but you are kept in a crowd of people, and the crew that guides you through snorkeling moves at a slower pace. The beaches were so beautiful! The best beaches on our whole trip and they feed you a great lunch.
We stayed at the Marriott Renaissance cruise port hotel, we had fun and partied on 2nd street and took the water taxi around town and that was fun. The best thing we did was we got a ride from tri city tours to the Everglades Holiday Park where we went on an airboat ride and then saw their alligators that they rescue and do shows with. Then you have the chance to hold a baby alligator and then you can sit on an adult alligator and get your picture taken! I did both and loved it! The alligator's mouths are taped shut, so you are fairly safe and the handlers seem to know what they are doing, I am so glad we did this!
