Not scarey. We took a bus tour off the ship, just enough to get a taste of Cartegena. People are very friendly if you speak just a little spanish. Very pretty city.

We took a local taxi ride to the Guyton Locks at the Canal. Very impressive!

Weather was not the best. Not much to see right in town, take a tour in a cab.

The water is the whole story in Cozumel. Go to the beach! Split a cab for about $15 round trip per couple to Paradise Beach. $2 entry to a spotless beach resort.
