Independent excursion with Your Tour in Italy -- the guide took us to the Duomo and Leaning Tower in Pisa, then into Florence for the rest of the day. Saw David at the Accademia, a couple churches and squares, Ponte Vecchio and some other sights.

Another independent excursion with Your Tour in Italy. I still can't believe I got to see so much in only one day -- the Coliseum, Circus Maximus, the Pantheon, the Vatican (where we had our own tour guide), Trevi Fountain, Campo dei Fiori market, etc. etc. etc.

Another independent excursion with Your Tour in Italy. Naples is a somewhat dirty, crime-ridden city, so no one actually goes there... We spent the morning exploring Positano and the Positano Coast, stopping for lunch at Trattoria La Tagliata -- a family-run restaurant which uses many of its own fresh ingredients, and easily one of the best meals I've ever had. After lunch, we went to Pompeii where another private tour guide (a life-long archaeologist) taught us many things.

Palma de Mallorca

This is a great port-of-call as there are many options to suit all tastes. My friend and I simply took a taxi into the old downtown, which is similar to Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. Lots of pedestrian streets, squares and shops to get lost in.
