We thought it would be nice to have a walk into the town after two busy days on excursions, so we walked out of the port, but we were not really prepared for the barage of taxi drivers and horse and carriage owners who wanted to take us on a sight seeing tour of Alexandria. We just wanted to have a walk around, but they would not take no for an answer, it was awful, the one man even followed us with his horse still trying to pursuade us to go for a tour. In the end we went back to the boat, it was not a pleasant experience at all.
