Bar Harbor is absolutely great. It has a lot of charm with scenic Acadia National Park as a main attraction. Our shore excursion to the park was OK. There was not enough time to walk around Cadillac Mountain as we would have liked. The bus went by several scenic places that would have been a nice stop for pictures. The one stop was too short and crowded for any significant picture taking. The whole tour was rushed and a lot of time spent on the bus.
Not as scenic as many of the other places we have been. Be careful on Shore Excursions as they were rushed when stopping at the Old Market, reversing falls and Tower.
Portland is a nice location for an individual walking tour. Check out Andy's on the wharf near the cruise dock directly across from the Old Customs Building. It has a nice menu with great tasting food.
