It was a little confusing. Not well marked with signs nor was anyone offering any direction to get thru the process. I think if this was not our 10th cruise, we would have been very confused.
Overwhelmed with people selling trickets and then trying to bum cigarettes. Do not make eye contact with vendors unless you are prepared for the hard push sale. It does not matter how many times you say "No Thank you' Just keep walking
Port area is completely run by cruiselines. There is nothing in port that you cannnot get on the ship.
Cabs are VERY expensive, but worth the money to get away from the tourist area and go to a resort. I recomend Fantasy Island. The resturant there is expensive but it is the only place to eat. Your cab driver can also recomend a nice resort area with more options than Fantasy.
Be prepared to spend more than you figured at this port
Use good judgement about the water conditions before paying for any snorkeling trip. Strong waves, poor visibily and currents are frequent here and the water is not always safe for the novice snorkeler or young children, but they will take your money and drop you off at a Cuy where snorkeling is not a good idea and it is your tough luck.
I highly recommend the cave tubing excursion. After 10 cruises, that is still my favorite. Great for young and old alike
