Had a very warm, sunny day in Newport. Toured Rosecliff and then did the Cliff Walk. Took the local bus back into town for a quick lunch and then just enjoyed walking along the waterfront enjoying the great weather.
Boston was very busy that day with a 10K run and roads closed due to the filming of a movie and some protesters. Made getting around the city a little slower than usual. Did the hop on-off trolley from the port and took a tour of the city. Went to the Observation Deck at the Prudential Building which gave you views and information of the entire city. Took another trolley back to the State House and just enjoyed walking around the entire area. And, of course, a cup of Boston Clam Chowder. Another trolley ride took us back to the ship.
Our most favorite port. Just walked up Main Street through town enjoying another beautiful day. Had some delicious Maine blueberry pie and enjoyed a lobster roll at Stewman's along with beautiful views before we returned to the ship.
Walked up to the Citadel in time to catch the "changing of the guard" and go on a tour which ended with the firing of the cannon at noon. Then walked back down to the waterfront and headed to the Maritime Museum. Did the tour of the ship Acadia which is included with admission and highly recommend that. Continued walking back to the ship along the waterfront.
