This was our first disembarkation after a full days at sea so we were glad to stop.We only had 3 hours onshore,so this limited what we could do.One of us did the 'Zip Line' which was a good experience (it lasts about 60 seconds and is a good thrill). But that's about it, I'm afraid. There is little to see in the town except a few local stores. There are a couple of nice stores in the port area if you like tourist stores. Overall, a very disappointing first stop
We stopped here for almost 12 hours and enjoyed a local tour. We found that the excursions offered by the Cruise ship were very expensive so we just disembarked and purchased a ticket onshore. After that, we wandered around the town and made use of the FREE INTERNET in the local town library. Then we had a few beers in the Red Dog Salon which was nice. A pleasant enough day, the best stop on our cruise though far short of what we expected from a Capital City!!
Again, we had only 3 hours here so didn't get to see anything outside of the tourist shops! This felt like a very artificial place and seemed totally geared around souvenir shops. Disappointing
