Have been to Amsterdam many times and apart from the first time that we did a city tour, have never been inclined to see more. A lot of graffiti around and it did not help that it was raining.
We have been here before, but a long time ago, and we were impressed at how it had changed and was still a good place to shop. An added bonus was the many dolphins that we saw coming into the Strait of Gibraltar. Again not long enough ashore to see much.
Have never been here before, but found it to be lacking in appeal and was rather dirty. We were not advised of this change of port (from La Goulette, Tunis) until our tickets arrived.
Have been here several times and do not tire of looking around this beautiful city. Had we had more time ashore it would have been nice to do a little boat trip from the pretty harbour.
The ship sailing into Venice was an amazing sight and is definitely the way to arrive! The expensive excursion that we had to take instead of sitting for 12 hours in the airport was actually quite enjoyable especially the lace-making island of Burano. We could have continued by ourselves after being dropped off in St. Mark's Square, but do not particularly like all the crowds and rip-off prices, so we came back to the port and then on to the airport. We had a pre-paid voucher for the shuttle back to Marco Polo Airport, but were charged 10 euros each for this on our final on board account!
