Enjoyed doing the tourist stuff, bought a 3 day passport for the MUNI which lets you ride - buses, tram, subway and cable car but not BART. A very good buy as we covered a lot of ground. Visited De Young museum, Alcatraz, Ferry Building and some great restaurants. Also a lot of shopping.
Ships excursion on White Pass Railway, really spectacular. A stroll around town some shopping at what my wife says was a superb quilt shop then some Alaska Summer Ale in Red Onion Saloon. Back to ship and sunbathing which I thought was cute for Alaska in September.
Had been here before on a land vacation many years ago so enjoyed just strolling and seeing what we could recognise from previous visit. My better half visited the Royal BC Museum for the Emily Carr exhibition.
