Clean & quite friendly. Nice, upmarket, but very expensive, shops to browse.

Clean, efficient & very helpful. We had trouble with our transfer after the cruise and port staff were very helpful.

We really didn't like this place. It was busy, dirty and smelly. We were looking for cigarettes and asked in several shops, but the people were very rude and unhelpful. We couldn't get back on board quickly enough, as we refused to spend any money in a place where we were made to feel so unwelcome.

We actually docked at La Spezia - Florence was accessible on a 10 hour tour which we didn't take. Unfortunately, nobody told us it was half-day closing, so all the shops were shut when we went in the afternoon, but it looked like a pleasant town.
