First stop Bermuda. We took a local excursion to Horseshoe Bay, which some 20 minutes away provided the perfect opportunity to see a little of the island. A swim in the ocean, time to top up the tan and back to port to buy some souvenirs. A really good day.
This stop was everything I thought the Carribbean would be sun drenched, soft sand and very laid back. We did some shopping sat on the beach and swam, really relaxing followed by eating at a beach side cafe....fantastic.
Now I am not normally fond of excursions purchased through the cruise company, however, we decided to try snorkelling and booked a trip on a 'pirate ship' that included snorkelling followed by lunch at Honeymoon Cove. This was fantastic, not only did we see some amazing fish and turtles but it was also such fun.....try it you will not be disappointed. My only word of advice is go easy on the 'medicine' and if you elect to swim ashore on to Honeymoon island for lunch take your sun cream with you.
A short time in port, but it was very hot and humid....and I think we were all tired, so we did not see much of the port, although were treated to dolphins playing close to the pier.
