We were expecting two ports of call-St. George and Hamilton. We did not stop in St. George due to rough seas. This was not a problem because we were given transportaion vouchers if we wanted to visit the port which is easy to reach by ferry or bus. We took advantage of an extra day at the beach. Hamilton is lovely for shopping. The transportation is very convenient. We took the bus a couple of times and opted for a taxi the rest of the time. For $20 you can get a taxi directly to any beach you wish to visit. We chose Horseshoe due to the amenities (chairs, umbrellas and bathrooms). The taxis are also ready and waiting when you leave the beach. The water and the sand are the best in the world. We were not interested in taking an excursion because we wanted to be at the beach. Hartley's Helmet dive is one of the best things to do in Bermuda, but it leaves from King's Wharf so we did not book it. Holland America does not offer this excursion.
