We had quite a short tour of a church with geese, a bit of walking and a pretend Spanish village which was very touristy. Shuttle buses run from the ship to Barcelona where you can hop on a sightseeing tour bus, which is probably a better option and cheaper!
Our tour was the gladiators one and we went into the colloseum which was stunning, then the roman forum which was interesting but it was so hot walking around, so glad the coach was air conditioned. A long hot day.
Spent the day on the beach at Villefranche lovely and clean and safe to swim. Avoid the toilets on the beach and use the facilities in the building where the tender boats come in, much nicer. We returned to the ship for lunch and went back to the beach afterwards.
Didn't see much of Gibraltar as we went on a boat trip dolphin watching. It was very windy and conditions quite difficult to see the dolphins but we did see some.
