Rum Runners Charters for Whale Watching and Salmon Fishing. Excellent, highly recommend Captain Chris and his faithful whale watching dog Moondog. We saw many humpback whales and even glimpses of the hard to find Orcas. The fishing was great and we just received our "catch" filets in the mail!
We did the helicopter ride to the glacier and booked with Temsco. It was wonderful and the kids loved it. Very close to the ship and spent 40 minutes on the glacier. Really nice.
We booked with Island Wings (Michelle was our pilot) and took a one hour float plane through the fijords. It was breathtaking and definitely worth it. Shopping in town was fun afterwards in the quaint little shops close to the pier.
Beautiful place, it was the port that we ended in and I really wish we had planned a longer stay. We loved the city and there is so much to do. We recommend highly the Coastal Coal Resort hotel. Rates are reasonable and the rooms were lovely. Not a bad view in the place and centrally located near everything. Buy a pass to the "hop on hop off bus" and go to Stanley Park, Gastown, shopping on Robson street and various Olympics sights. Lots of fun.
