Amazing place. Use people mover for 1 euro to get to piazza de Roma . Quite expensive to get to st Marks square, u need to go by water bus or taxi, both expensive. Souvenir s very cheap unless right on the front or in st Marks sq.

Beautiful to walk round, reasonable prices in shops, stony beach and not big.

Amazing city. Open top bus tour hop on and hop off, great way to see acropolis and rest of city, much cheaper than RC tour

Very pushy shop staff, be prepared to bargain hard. Not as cheap as it used to be but fakes fairly good quality.

Very nice locals, helpful and not liberty takers. You can sit ob nice beach for the price of a drink. 6 of us had front row beds, with umbrellas, 2 rounds of drinks and lunch for 40 euro. Less pushy than Kusadasi

Do your own boat tour, 20 euros and kids free, 3 hour tour. Fabulous value! Eat back on board though as restaurants expensive and not great food.

We also went to mykanos and Split but no boxes for these. Don't take RC bus in Mykanos, public bus, which looks like a coach, stops almost next door and is 1.60euro, not $10 pp
