Singapore was the cleanest and safest port on the tour. We took a Princess Tour and visited China town and the city. It was fascinating and we saw how the people lived back in the early 1920's, from there went to a Pewter Factory and were given demonstrations on how to make pewter bowls, than made our own bowls. Next we walked around the park area before boarding the bus. We toured old town Singapore and viewed the largest Ferris wheel in the world, next we drove to the Raffles Hotel and were given a Singapore-sling demonstration and than we had snacks and Singapore slings. After 4.5 hrs. we were bussed back to the ship.
Hong Kong was a shopping port. We experienced their subway system and found off the beaten areas to shop and eat. It was an exciting experience, as not to many locals spoke English. We found our way back to the ship and took an afternoon Princess Tour to the Olympic ampatheater for a Tai Chi class. This tour was 5 hrs..
