The port is close to the town, easily walkable. This is a very small area to visit as Gib is, well, tiny! Did the rock, via cable car which was ok, met the monkeys, who were well behaved and walked back down visiting the many caves and tunnels. From a historical point of view well worht the visit, a beach resort it ain't
Didn't actually dock at St Tropez but Toulon several miles along the coast but our trip was to St Tropez. Very picturesque port, with yachts and boats to die for. Plenty of little back street shops and places to eat. Not what we expecte at all but charming
Picked Florence as its the nearest to Livorno the Italian port. Our tour was to Pisa. Magnificent! What history, the buildings, the tower, simply brilliant. I must say helped by a really knowledgeable guide which makes a massive difference.
Trip was to Rome. Did a 5 hour walking tour. No matter which way you turned there was something else with so much history it was hard to take it all in. From walking on original roman cobbles, the fountains, to the Collesium to the Vatican city just all awe inspiring. I would recommend this tour otherwise you may miss some real highlights. Around every corner something took your breath away. Fantastic
