After the mists cleared and the sun came out Flam was a most pretty port. Not a lot to do or see unless one went on one of the many interesting trips, the railway being the most popular. Norway is well worth seeing for the scenery.
A most absorbing place to visit and lots to see and do. Norway IS expensive, but we all knew that when we decided to go. But it is the only place where we have used bank cards to pay for bus fares and coffees! (Coffee and cake x 2: over £15.) We did not take local money as we were not sure how far it would go. The day flew past just walking and being on the tourist bus and window shopping. Well worth visiting.
