In Margot, we chose to visit the hilltop Fort instead of shopping. Our heart pounding climb was rewarded with excellent views or the harbor and town.

We had considered the Mountain Biking tour but later found out that it had been cancelled. It's always go to have an alternate tour in mind should your first choice be cancelled.

There is a snack included but it was at 9:30a, shortly after breakfast, and a long time before our return to the ship at 1p. It would have been helpful to know this ahead of time so that snacks could have been brought along, if desired.

We took the Agaeta Valley Tour.

Participants should beware that although this tour is listed as moderate, there is a very steep goat path and several steep streets. This tour is moderate if you are in good health but I would consider it as strenuous for folks who are not accustomed to regular exercise. On our tour there were several participants who were not able to do the walking that was included. People with artificial knees, canes, foot surgery boots, overweight. The guide astutely arranged for cars to take them up/down the steep streets.

The RCL tour description also didn't do justice to the variety of scenery and information that this tour offered. The views of the natural rock formation called the Finger of God and the historic Red House were awesome. The garden of the Red House contained a wide variety of desert and tropic plants. Then the tour was capped with a visit to a family owned vineyard.

This was by far the best tour of the entire cruise for us.

Port Rating:

The guide rearranged the order of the tour in hopes that we would have a view La Graciosa but the foggy weather did not cooperate.

We were once again impressed by how well maintained the roads are in the Canary Islands.
