Steer clear of any port that requires tenders with the Ruby. Organisation was pathetic and people were getting very angry at the poor organisation, queue jumping etc
we docked at 6am Sunday morning.....not much to do in Monaco at that time. We had to be back on board by 2 pm but with such pathetic organisation of tenders in Sardinia, people were heading back early ( we went at 1200) to avoid the disorganisation. Sadly, they had not managed to learn from Sardinia and queue jumping and poor organisation was the order of the day. So not as much time as we would have liked to enjoy there.
Beware the cost of train tickets here. We told a few people to go the the station and buy tickets there. Ruby charged $70+ for a train ride to Rome - actual cost at the station was 18 euros.........
