We did not even get off the ship in this port because some of us were sick. We did have an excursion booked for the Powerscourt Estate and Dublin OYO but because of the sickness they refunded our money.
We arrived early in Liverpool and I was out on the deck taking pictures. The weather was cool and overcast. I got some nice pictures. We did a private tour with Busybus and had a great day long tour of the North Wales Coast. We went to a castle, saw the coastline went to a walled city, had lunch in a small town and had a great tour guide. We enjoyed it and it was half the price of the Princess tour.
We booked a private tour with Belfastattractions.uk.com and had a nice full day tour. We went to the Giant's causeway, saw the Antrium coast went to the old Bushmills tour. We did not go inside because time was going quickly. The last hour of the tour we were supposed to have a city tour with the history of the Belfast but there was a bompb scare and all the roads were closed off to the ship so we ended up driving around trying to get back to the ship for 1 1/2 hrs. It was very nerve racking and at one point we had to get out and walk a mile back to the ship to make sure that we did not miss the boat. Once our taxi made its way through the stopped traffic he stopped and picked us up and we actually made it back to the ship by the 5:30 PM that was set by the ship. We ended up not leaving Belfast until after 7:30 PM that night because all of the Princess tours were late getting back too. We got alot of nice pictures but had wished the sun was out more. It was very cool too.
We took the ships tour which was 12 hours. It took us 2 hrs. to get there and then we took a city tour and took a Seine River cruise with a nice lunch that included wine and dessert. We had a photo stop at the Eiffel tower and then went to some shopping center and went to the rooftop to take some pictures and then it was time to get back on the bus for our 2 1/2 hr. bus ride back to the ship. I enjoyed the tour but the bus ride was long....
