We took a privately arrange tour of the Normandy battlefields, including the American cemetary and museum. Lunch at a small country French restaurant was outstanding.
A very interesting port that is miles long and wide. I have never seen so many ships, cranes, boxcars, etc. A tour to the Keukenhof Gardens was outstanding.
This is a beautiful city with lots to see. We disembarked here and spent an extra night. I highly recommend the Clarion Mayfair Hotel. Not only were the rooms adequate with a modern bath, but dinner and breakfast is included in the price. This is quite a savings for such an expensive city. It is about a five block walk to the Tivoli gardens. "Lovely Ladys" across the street did not bother us at all.
