Our first time to India and a great experience although would not return. We did a city Tour which was good value and would not recommend trying to sightsee on your own
Love the place although a friend of the family who lives in Dubai took us around all the sights during the day which was a great experience. Tours hugely expensive and entirely safe to visit the sites on your own.
If you don't go to Petra where the cost on the Princess Tours was huge and stay in Aquaba you will be disappointed as it is a "dump" and little to see.
Here again if you don't go on a 10 hour tour to Luxor at enormous cost on a Princess tour then there is absolutely nothing to do in Safaga. We joined up with friends and went by taxi to a resort some 50 miles away which was very pleasant but the place was deserted partly because it was Friday and in course of renovation.
A beautiful port with access to Capri and Naples. It was very busy with other cruise ships in on our day and the shops are expensive. Easy to get around on your own. Tendered in but whilst we were 1 hour late getting a shore not a problem.
