dublin, ireland.. poor timing, the queen in town tomorrow and oboma and town a couple of days later.. town in lockdown with police everywhere and many sites off limits to us. took hop on hop off bus around city with stop at guiness factory, amust stop even if you don't anjoy the nasty dark brew. good weather, great live guide on the bus and again very inexpensive. rated only a 4 as too crowded and so many sites were closed that i hoped to see.

ships tour, the most expensive, but couldn't find anything on my own as this area is somewhat rural and the visitors info on line not much help. still a good tour esp to the most southern tip of england. great day, tour guide spoke non stop for the full 8 hours... but downside i aked why i didn't see any beagles in england and his response was they are unsuitable as family pets...well, guess what we have 2 beagles and they met us at the door to our home when we arrived and neighbors said they never barked except when they heard my son approahing our house to take them for a walk.

hop on hop off bus plus free tours from same co, plus boat ride on the seine river for a little extra...long great day....busy city, but a must see.
