We did the Harbour Cruise and Darwin Highlights tour. We chose it because we thought that it would provide an introduction to Darwin and whet our appetites to explore further. Unfortunately, the cruise was pretty routine and, due to the very strong current and big tide falls, the boat has to stick to the very middle of the channel, thus not allowing much of a view of details on shore. The Highlights of Darwin tour was pretty uninspiring - 10 minutes here for a photo opportunity, 10 minutes there for another one. A better option would have been to spend an hour or so in the Air Museum or the Darwin Historical Centre. Disappointing.
