The main town Oranje Stad is a lovely colourful place with some very interesting buildings. We took a local 3 hour tour around the island and it was very interesting well worth the twenty us dollars. do not book the ships tours to expensive and they do exactly the same places.
nice port the ship docs very close to town. We took again the local tour 5 hours and saw the cliff divers which is must for first time visitors to this port. Again just go of the wharf and book a local tour much better value than the ships tours
loved it. we went to Alcatraz, rode the cable car,explored Fisherman's Wharf, eat the famous clam chowder for lunch, and all on our own .this covered the whole day. Don't waste your money on a tour. from where the ship docks you can walk everywhere unless you are disabled.
just love this port so much to see and do and really you need more than one day in port.We took the local bus around the island for $2.50 it was great fun.
we had to go by tender to Port Denarau which is about 10 minutes away from Nadi, it was a Sunday with most of the shops closed, was not worth going to. We spend about 3 hours ashore and went back to the ship.
