We went on a zip line jungle tour with Los Veranos canopy tours and it was outstanding. Instead of booking ahead we got a tour van driver to drop us off at their office which was about a 15 minute ride from the cruise terminal. We enjoyed the 35 minute bus ride to the "jungle" and got to see the beautiful coastline. At the conclusion of the tour we ate at the restaurant overlooking the river and enjoyed the food and Pacifico beer. They also had a small collection of animals and will let you have your picture taken with a monkey, snake and iguana. After we returned to the tour office, we walked down to the beach and had a great couples massage at a beachfront hotel spa. We walked down the beach walk and had a cab take us by Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burtons' former homes.
We were a little concerned after reading about some safety issues here, but we felt completely safe the whole time and thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Mazatlan Frank which we booked on our own. I recommend him highly and he can arrange whatever you want to do in Mazatlan.
Another great port. We hired one of the many glassbottom boat/water taxis to take us to see the arches and coastline. The boat dropped us off at Modeno Beach and we walked to the marina area where we went to CaboWabo and then had lunch at Ole Ole which was good. The tender boats from the ship were comfortable and easy to access.
