We took the ship's excursion, which was adequate to experience some of the city. I saw no taxis at the dock for private use; however, they might have arrived later since some were present when we returned.
We needed to walk a fair distance to reach the area where private taxis were able to park. A heads-up by previous cruisers would have been useful in this regard. We were able to grab one on his way to the port and had a decent tour with a stop at a nice beach for a good price.
