Didnt spend any time at the port as we had booked 8 hour tour, but what we saw looked clean and tidy, the shops looked inviting but we did not have time to look and it was nice to have the dancers greet you 1st thing in the morning
Had a great time, glad we had an overnight here, amazing place, such a shame most of the beautiful buildings were crumbling! We took a horse and buggy ride the first day and it was well worth it, the next day we took the open top bus ride that took 3 hours, again well worth the money, please note that if you have breathing problems make sure you take your inhaler, the fumes get to you in the end.
We have been to this port twice before, so just went to the Botanical gardens, when we went to the tourist information kiosk at the port & they gave us good directions and also suggested we visit the sugar museum, we had a good day
This is the 4th cruise stop, ( every ship stops in Antigua) and we have also stayed for a holiday on the island, the town and shops are good, but we spent day on beach as we had done everything
We disembarked on Barbados, we went to the shops in the port and spent some time and money there, but as its the last day and we had already done the tour that takes you around the island and then to the airport we just went back to the ship
