Nice shopping at the pier. We had booked an all inclusive small beach excursion ( Nochi Cocum ) that only takes 100 people a day, but missed that when our itinerary changed and we were in Cozumel a day early. Tried to re-book for the earlier day but they were full. A bit of a challenge contacting them, we ended up buying internet time and contacting them that way. NOTE: take phone numbers for EVERYTHING, guest services was willing to make calls for us IF we had had the number. We booked Playa Mia Beach Break Deluxe thru Carnival, and it was NOT Good. With several ships in port, it was way crowded, hard to find a lounge chair if you werent one of the first ships in ( we werent ) you MUST have beach shoes for the water, rocks close to the shore make it a bit difficult. Food was ok. We found some shady spots near a volleyball net and dragged chairs there and that was fine, shady and husbands smoked their cigars! Had it been hotter and more humid ( it was only lo 80s and not humid ) it would have been uncomfortable given the crowding. We ended up cancelling a Progresso beach excursion we had the next day based on this day's experience, and we heard the beach smelled badly there and was in general, not a pleasant experience.
