We had been to Puerto Vallarta before and had seen the town. We ended up doing the Dolphin swim with the kids. It was the highlight of the trip for the kids, but was very expensive. They do not let you take your cameras to the pool area but rather have a photographer to take them and then sell the pics to you after the show. Be sure to bargain with them and never by the photos at the listed price. Everyone on the bus got a different deal on the pictures.
Mazatlan was new to all of us so we decided to do a city tour. We did get to see the city but I was a bit disappointed with the amount of information that our guide provided us on the tour.
Cabo was a stop that we had been to before. The kids wanted to stay in club HAL so my wife and I just went out for lunch and a drink. As this is the one port that the ship cannot dock, tender boats are used. It makes getting on and off a little more difficult. Also, this place is more “touristy” than the others and the locals are constantly hounding you to buy something or take a tour.
