Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta was our first stop, we went on the "Exclusive Resort Getaway", at Paradise Village, Nuevo Vallarta. Resort was really nice, a huge complex. We actually looked at the units, might go there for a time share swap. Beach was clean, water cold. Food and drinks were good.

Next stop was Mazatlan. Last time I was here was in the early 60s. Was sleepy, uncrowded, and clean. This time, could not tell if they were tearing it down or building it up. This was not a town to walk around by yourself. Our excursion was "Salsa and Salsa". We made lots of different kinds of Salsa and great margaritas, and then had Salsa dance lessons. We had the most fun we have ever had on an excursion!!! Everything was set up for us when we arrived, very organized. We were given drinks (non and alcoholic) the whole time. The staff were great, especially Stephanie. We all had chef aprons and hats! The hotel/resort was really nice. Walk around out side the beautiful property, don't think so. We then were driven back to the ship with another couple in a Mexican VW Kubelwagen, Disney could use that as a ride in its parks.

Next stop was La Paz, and we picked "Baja Cuisine and Beach Resort Getaway", done at the Concha Hotel y Club dePlaya. We paid $99 per, and folks who just picked "Beach Resort Getaway" for $99 pp, were both bused to the same place. We got the cooking lessons, they did not. You have to read the excursion description folks!!! We made five different salsas, plus marinades for a steak, eaten on tortillas, and had drinks and lunch. We had chef aprons, and hats, and all received cooking certificates when we left. The resort was very nice, although the pool was quite cold.

Final stop was Cabo, the best place of all. Could tell the difference in the ports right away. Cabo is bustling, so many boats going in and out, that looked like they needed a traffic cop. Really bustling port. When you see a big marina, and exclusive star/celebrity compounds... We did "Lands End Boat, Beach and Shopping" here. First we took three decker cat, to see the arch and scenery. We then took a bus to Cabo Villas, in the heart of Cabo. Would do a timeshare swap here, among all of the four ports. Beach was great, service and food was also. We then went to a shopping plaza, and spent an hour here. Wife bought a beautiful silver bracelet here. No problem walking around this town. Will be back there
